Overview


The Shop Floor Layout is a screen that can be used in the Real Time Viewer (RTV) within DataXchange. It is a designer that can use an uploaded image of the shop floor or a blank canvas. Text labels and color status indicators can then be overlaid on the image. In the Viewer the labels will update with text from DataXchange and the indicators will update with colors from DataXchange.

Shop Floor Layout Options and Tabs


Once the Shop Floor Layout screen has been selected to add to the RTV screen the configure window will pop up. The following options will help customize the screen.


Layout Image:  Use the Browse button to load an image of the shop floor, or a blank canvas.  The image must be a PNG or JPG.**

Equipment:  Use the check boxes to select one or more pieces of equipment to add to the Shop Floor Layout.

Parameters:  This is a list of available text items that will update with the current data within DataXchange. See below for the list of parameters that can be used.

The Reset Interval is in the Part Settings is used to determine the start and stop times for selecting part count data.


    - Rolling will always count from the last X amount of hours.

    - Set Interval will have a start time and then reset every X amount of hours from the specified start time.

    - Current Shift will use the start time of the current shift


Font Size is used to set the font of the labels used on the View

Status Symbol allows specific shapes such as circles or rectangles to be selected. In addition, Polygon can be selected to draw custom shapes.


All items have defaults allowing the View to be displayed quickly and easily.


Configuration / Setup / Customization


To start configuring the Shop Floor Layout view, select an image of the shop floor itself. Then select from the options on the left side of the menu. Keep in mind that it is possible to load a blank image and build out the screen however you'd like.  Please use the how to file for a step by step explanation on how to setup a Shop Floor Layout screen.


After starting the creation process, there are many options that can be used to customize the Shop Floor Layout view.


The Parameter section is used to specify which columns should be shown on the layout and which should be hidden. 



- General Status: The description of the General Status

- Specific Status: The description of the Specific Status

- Equipment: The Equipment name

- General Duration: The amount of time the equipment has been in the General Status

- Specific Duration: The amount of time the equipment has been in the Specific Status

- Active Part Number: The part number that is currently active on the equipment

- Scrap Part Count: The scrap parts that are recorded within the DataXchange database

- Good Part Count: The number of good parts recorded since the beginning of the Part Settings Reset Interval

- Equipment Status Notes: Notes that have been entered on the ODI screen

- User Name: User name of operator logged in

- Ideal Setup: Ideal Setup will be for the equipment/part combination if it exists, or just the equipment as entered on the Metrics Definition page.

- Actual Setup: The actual setup time will be the amount of downtime that has occurred based on the downtimes marked as Setup Times on the Metrics Definitions page.

- Parts Per Hour (PPH): Using ideal times to calculate the expected parts that should be made within the hour.  More information

- Parts Per Hour Plan: The amount of parts that should have been made already based on the ideal time, the current time, and the start time for this calculation. 

- Parts Per Hour %: The percentage of Parts Per Hour Actual to Parts Per Hour Plan.

- Parts Per Hour Actual: The current parts made since the start time.

- Utilization %: The current percentage of utilization.

- Work Order Number: Displays the current active Work Order number.

- Connect Time: The length of time the equipment is connected or in a certain status.

- Custom Variable: Display Custom variables that have been defined by the user can be a value or a color More Information in the how-to.

**When Creating a Shop Floor layout Screen, keep in mind the following features. When adding shapes they can be solid or they can have a transparency to them. There are also predefined shapes to choose from or there is an option to make your own customized shape. While in creation mode all shapes can be rotated and moved around to the desired location. The Shop Floor Layout Screen is completely customizable, Screens can be created with only words or just shapes. The same piece of equipment as well as it's details can be added multiple times.
