Overview


Saved chart templates allows for a chart to be saved and run with set properties, filters and options with a click of a button. 


Each user can create their personal chart templates using the ribbon bar buttons in the My Configuration section.  A user with the appropriate permissions can also create chart templates and assign them to user groups allowing users to inherit templates.  Group charts can be created using the ribbon bar buttons in the Group Configuration section.


Add or Modify Chart Templates


To add or modify a chart template select the Add or Modify Charts menu item under My Charts or Group Charts. Specify the Title, an optional Description, and select the Chart Type and press the Configure button to specify the details for the selected chart type. The title specified will be the title displayed on the chart.


All of the options can be specified such as the equipment, the time frame, and the display options.  The options will vary based on the chart type and the details of each chart type are explained in the associated help files.


For the Time Frame any of the Quick Select options can be used or the custom Day and Time options.  Either the Quick Select or the Custom selectors can be used by themselves or in conjunction with the shift filters.



The following is an example of the display options that can be set for some of the chart types.  A sample display is shown to visualize the effect of the option settings.



Equipment for the charts can be dynamically added.  When a new machine is added to DataXchange it can automatically be included to saved reports.
