Modify Unknown Downtimes From the Data Entry Screen

Overview

There are times when an operator starts a equipment cycle after the equipment had been sitting idle and they forgot to enter the downtime reason before the equipment went into cycle. For these scenarios, DataXchange provides the ability to modify Unknown Downtimes that have previously occurred.  Rules that control the list of qualifying modifiable Unknown Downtimes can be configured on the Manage tab on the Data Entry Settings form.

It is possible to modify unknown downtime data using the Data Entry Screen.  This feature is permissions based and the user must have the correct permissions to modify the data.  There are specific options per equipment on controlling how much data is going to be editable by the user on a equipment by equipment bases.  For instance, if the equipment has been in unknown downtime for longer than an hour, should that user be able to alter that data?

Users Modifying Unknown Downtime

Using the Modify Time Stamp button on the Data Entry screen allows users to alter historical unknown downtimes.  To do this, click the Modify Time Stamp button and select the Previous option.  Based on permissions, pressing the Modify Time Stamp button may bring up the list of Unknown Downtimes directly, or may directly bring up the form to modify the current Unknown Downtime.

Next, depending on how the Data Entry Settings have been configured, a list of qualifying unknown downtimes will be displayed.

Select the unknown downtime that needs to be altered. Then choose the appropriate Planned or Unplanned Downtime and press Enter.
