Chart Overview

The Equipment Status Timeline chart displays a stacked bar chart on a time line showing the incremental statuses of the equipment over the time range selected. The Equipment can be selected by User Groups, Company Groups, or by the Equipment. When displaying the result the time line can only be shown for individual equipment, not consolidated into groups.

Required and Optional Information

A time frame and one or more pieces of equipment are required to generate the chart. By default, Today is selected for the time frame. Once the equipment has been selected the chart can be generated without specifying any additional information by pressing the Chart button in the upper right hand corner.

Additional filters on this page can be used to select the type of statuses to be compared and how the chart will render. By default the General status selected but you can choose specific if desired.

General and Specific Status

For the Cycle status either an individual specific status can be selected or all of the specific statuses can be selected. As an example, let's assume there are two specific statuses in use, Machine Time and Spindle time. Machine Time has been setup to be active any time the equipment is running. Spindle Time has been setup be active only when there is a load on the spindle. By selecting Machine Time vs Spindle Time as the specific status the time line chart will utilize the appropriate amount of time as the cycle time and therefore providing different results for the amount of time the equipment has been in cycle. Selecting All Specific Statuses from the drop down menu will display each of the defined specific cycle statuses on the timeline chart.

Additional Options

Once a chart is generated a gear or Options button will appear in the upper right hand corner. These options will vary based on the chart generated, and these Options are not available on all charts, therefore at times the options panel will remain blank or unavailable.

This Additional Options panel also contains printing, viewing and exporting options for the generated chart.

An example with 12 hours of data showing the General Status for each of the Status Types.

The same data as the previous example, except zoomed in on the first 6 hours of data.

An example with the Specific Unplanned Downtimes displayed rather than the General Unplanned Downtime.

An example with the Specific Planned Downtime displayed rather than the General Planned Downtimes.

Machine Time has been selected in this example for the Specific Cycle Time.  Since Machine Time was defined as being anytime the equipment is running this chart machines the General Cycle Time.

In this example Spindle Time is used for the Specific Cycle Time rather than the Machine Time.  It's easy to see how there is now overall less cycle time and a higher percentage of the other Status Types.
