Overview

The Data Entry Interface is designed to be used on the shop floor by shop floor personnel.  Pressing the Data Entry tab will hide the ribbon bar and display the data entry interface.

The first time the data entry screen is used, the DataXchange Service set to collect data from the target equipment, must be entered.  This can be entered by pressing the Setup button on the Login screen.  All communication will now only go through the DataXchange Service, and the application will no longer need access to the Internet.

The next step is to configure the software for the target equipment.  The Configuration option in the menu on the top right will bring up the Configuration page which will show all of the equipment assigned to the associated DataXchange Service.  Select the desired equipment that will be controlled by the associated client and move it to the right side.  A button for each selected piece of equipment will become available in the lower left.  The order of the equipment on the lower left can be changed by dragging the equipment in the Equipment Selected list.  The color on the button represents the current status of the equipment.

Note that the Configuration menu option can be controlled by permissions allowing an Administrator of the system to setup the data entry screen but not allowing shop floor personnel to modify the setup.

On the Data Entry form, the active piece of equipment can now be set by pressing the associated button in the lower left of the screen.  The list of specific cycle statuses, planned downtimes, and unplanned downtimes can be displayed using the button on the left hand side.

All of the buttons on the left can be controlled by permissions.

The general functionality of the data entry form can be found on the Data Entry Detail page.
